orders.
This will depend on whether or not your order has been processed and dispatched. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will see what we can do.
If you notice an error in your shipping address please contact us as soon as possible and we will amend your order providing it has not already been shipped.
Your order will arrive in a cardboard box, chosen according to the size of your goods. We have varying sizes which enable us to use the smallest package available. Packaging items in unnecessarily large containers requires more void fill which is wasteful. We will carefully wrap each item in fully recycled and recyclable paper packaging and use recycled and recyclable void fill to ensure your goods are well protected during transit. Please reuse the box and packaging materials where possible or see if your local scrapstore or school can make use of them before the last resort of recycling.
Absolutely! Please get in touch to discus your requirements. Contact Beth on hello@yearthskincare.co.uk
You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been placed. If you have not received one within 24 hours please contact us and we will check the status of your order for you.
shipping & returns.
Not yet I'm afraid but we're looking into this!
If you select Royal Mail 24 then it should arrive within 1-2 days. If you select Royal Mail 48 then it should arrive within 2-4 days. We aim to ship all orders within 24 hours but please be patient with us during busy periods such as Christmas.
Please see our Returns information for full terms and conditions but in short, we offer a 30-day returns policy for items that are unwanted or faulty but we do not accept returns of personal goods items such as soap or skincare for hygienic reasons.
This is an example of a response that you might give. It's good to be as thorough as possible in responses as that has a tendency to improve trust overall.
products.
Each yearth product has a full list of ingredients on the individual product page and you can also learn more about our ingredients here
Our products have been designed with sensitive and reactive skin in mind, knowing that everyone's skin will benefit from the exclusion of fragrances, essential oils and unnecessary, questionable ingredients.
For our soaps we have included essential oils for fragrance and whilst they are a natural product some of these do contain allergens and it is a legality to include this information on those products and so you will find this information on our product pages. We keep our essential oil inclusion to the lowest rate and avoid those regarded more allergenic and therefore our products may not be as potent smelling as some other companies but we promise you that the smell is present on each wash and will indeed delight the olfactory senses.
We do have a number of unscented soaps however which we would recommend that you try first if you have particularly sensitive and allergy-prone skin. We always recommend patch testing any of our products before full usage to ensure there are no adverse reactions.
No, we have chosen to avoid products containing palm oil and its derivatives. Read more about this in our blog.
Depending on how often you use it we suggest a 30ml bottle will last around 2-4 months.
Absolutely! They must go through the same strict process as all other skincare ingredients and have been deemed safe before being allowed to go to market. The UK market is one of the strictest in the world and all of our products have gone through cosmetic safety testing and we have fully passed assessments which is an expensive and legal requirement before we can sell on the UK and EU market.
We offer the option to purchase our products with different closures. For our oils we offer the choice of buying with a pump closure or aluminium lid. we recommend saving your pump closure from your finished product and ordering your refill with aluminium cap which means you can reuse the pump in the new bottle.
If you are able to attend one of our events then we are offer refills of empty bottles and jars at these.
We are working hard at offering a truly sustainable option for refills which can be sent out in the post but the choices are limited for oil-based cosmetics and we do not wish to use the common choice of other brands where they offer refills in plastic-based packaging as we feel this defeats the object of refilling altogether.
No. This is something that we aspire to but making an effective sunscreen is a complicated process which takes years of development and has to go through many expensive tests. In the meantime we recommend finding a brand that offers a mineral-based sunscreen (tolerated much more by sensitive skin and is especially important for conditions such as perioral dermatitis) with sustainability values that you can connect with.
soaps.
No, we have chosen to not use palm oil in our soaps. Read why in our article - 'What's the problem with palm oil' over in our blog.
This very much depends on how you use it and whether it has the chance to dry out fully in-between uses. If you use your soap with a flannel, shower puff or are particularly hairy then you may find you use up your bar more quickly. With two people, showering once a day we suggest a single bar will last at least two weeks, often longer in most cases.
We don't recommend using your bar of soap as a shampoo. The skin on our scalp may seem to like it at the start but over time you may find that you start to experience unwelcome side affects such as dandruff or itching. This is due to the PH of the soap which is too high for most scalps. Choose a shampoo bar made with more gentle, PH balanced ingredients from a brand you trust and respect. Watch this space for shampoo bars though - we're working on it!
Store unopened soap in a cool, dry place such as a drawer. Storing in light, warm environments will shorted the life of the soap and cause the essential oils to fade more quickly. Lots of people like to store soaps in their clothing drawers to retain the scent and make the clothing smell rather nice.
Store soap that is in use on a well-draining soap dish that allows it to dry fully between uses. This will prevent it becoming soggy and will help your bar to last longer.
If stored correctly *see question above* then the scent should remain for at least 12 months, however, if you stop noticing the scent before this then it could just be that the outer layer has faded a little and most often the scent is revived once the bar has started to be used and the outer layer washed away.
giving back.
We are partnered with Ecologi whom plant a tree for every order placed online and we also give a percentage of profits to The World Land Trust every year.
We give regular donations of our products to local homeless shelters in Gloucestershire and you can read more about this, and other news on our blog.
When you place an order with us, Ecologi plants a tree. The trees are planted worldwide and you can learn more about the work they are doing on their website https://ecologi.com/projects

Because there is no plan B. Because we need to act now to save our planet. Because we're committed to our promises of sustainability. Because they're circlular.
Full stop.
totally unrelated nonsense.
Hmmn, walking backwards could result in injury from falling or walking into objects and would prove problematic in many situations but wearing high heels for any length of time is particularly tortuous and would definitely increase risk of death walking up a mountain so we're choosing backwards walking.
Yoga is something we like to consider as much part of our daily lives as brushing our teeth. Without it life just isn't as good, so despite enjoying some full on HIIT sessions we would have to choose yoga. Yoga is a good solution to so many problems (and by the way - helps to keep skin healthy and glowing).
No. Don't be ridiculous. Dungarees do not have an age limit, much like riding on the handle of your shopping trolley when returning it to the store (although we are not condoning this type of rebellious activity *ahem*)
Yes. Only on Tuesdays.
